Bootcamp Level 1 –

Bootcamp Level 2 – DRESSMAKING |
| This course teaches beginners/ refreshers the basic skills needed to sew. During the course you will be sewing two projects and all materials for your sewing projects are provided for you on the day. | This course teaches the skills needed for dressmaking. During the course you will undertake a project using your new skills. |

Over 4 x 3 hour sessions you learn: How to use a sewing machine The most common problems encountered by beginners How to avoid/fix these problems You learn and develop skills such as: Machine Sewing Hand Sewing Inserting a Zip Precision |
Over 4 x 3 hour sessions you learn: How to interpret a commercial sewing pattern The symbols on the pattern pieces How to understand the pattern sleeve Different fabrics and their uses The most common dressmaking problems encountered by beginners How to avoid/fix those problems You learn and develop skills such as: How to follow the instruction sheet How to cut out fabric using a pattern How to sew a simple garment |
By end of course:You will be able to tackle a simple sewing project with confidence. |

Duration and time: Scheduling depends on availability of facilities and demand for classes
Weekends: 12 hours tuition in total.
Saturdays 10am – 1pm and 1.30pm – 4.30pm and
Sundays 10am – 1pm and 1.30pm – 4.30pm
