Transition Year Sewing

Description:

ALso qualifies for “Gaisce” the President’s Award. (Second follow-on course required for this.)
This course in for teenagers, who wish to broaden their skills.
You will learn how to cut out and sew a beanbag.

You will learn how to:

  • Use a sewing machine
  • Make a pattern for a beanbag.
  • Cut out a beanbag using your own pattern.
  • Sew the beanbag using a velcro opening
  • Make a lining and stuff it.
  • Hand sew.

All materials and equipment will be provided.

By end of course:

You will have learned the basic skills of sewing and will have made a beanbag.

Duration and time and Dates:

Six week course, 7pm- 8.30pm
